The Making of the Rewilding

The assignment to myself to interface with traditional production and utilizing AI was to generate the first frame from footage I captured while teaching  in England for a month. I took one of my custom built anamorphic lens and I wanted to see if the AI could retain the character of the lens throughout it’s generations. The limitation I wanted was only using footage that I filmed as the starting frame for each generated shot. This sparked creativity and I used this method for creating 80% of the shots. The other 20% I used my shots to train the model for to get a more dynamic action shot.  When I was walking in the park and I came across this gate that said The Way, I knew that I wanted the gates to open and then we would be entering this magical mythical world. My idea was to make a movie trailer for a fantasy film. I  pulled inspiration from some of my favorite fantasy films, all are from the year 1981 like Clash of the Titians, Dragonslayer and Excalibur. Being that I'm weird there are some Monty Python and the Holy Grail moments. While in England, I was introduced to the term Rewilding, which is an approach to conversation to let nature thrive once more and take care of it's self.
